She is currently the 15th female President.

Our President Draupadi Murmu used to work as a clerk in the State Irrigation and Power Department before joining politics. His tenure was from 1979 to 1983. After that he also worked as a teacher in Rairangpur till 1997.
Personal Life :
Draupadi Murmu was born on 20 June 1958 in Uparbeda village, Rairangpur, Odisha. His father's name was Biranchi Narayan Tudu. And he was a farmer by profession. His father and his grandfather were also well-known Sarpanchs of the village. And he also had a good status in the Gram Panchayat. Draupadi Murmu's name was changed by her school master. But even before this their names were changed many times like Durpadi and Dorpadi.Draupadi ji's primary schooling took place in Uparbeda only. When she was five years old, she moved to Bhubaneswar for higher studies. She did her secondary education from Girls High School Unit 2 and her graduation from Rama Devi Women's College. She married Sham Charan Murmu, a banker in 1980. He had two sons and a daughter with them. Her husband and two sons, mother and brother died in a span of 7 years from 2009 to 2015. Draupadi Murmu is also a follower of the spiritual movement of the Brahma Kumaris.
Career start:
Draupadi Murmu also worked as a Junior Assistant in the Irrigation Department of Odisha from 1979 to 1983, after that she also worked as a teacher at Sri Aurobindo Integral Education and Research Center Rairangpur from 1994 to 1997. Where he taught subjects like Hindi, Odia, Mathematics and Geography. But when it came to salary, he never demanded full salary.
Political Career:
Draupadi Murmu was also elected as the councilor of Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat in 1997 as an independent candidate from the seat reserved for women. After this Draupadi Murmu ji joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
After joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, he won the 2000 Odisha Legislative Assembly election from the Rairangpur Legislative Assembly constituency and served twice in the Odisha Legislative Assembly between 2000 and 2009. Held independent charge of commerce and transport from 6 March 2006 to 6 August 2002 during the BJP-BJD coalition government in Odisha. Then from 6 August 2002 to 16 May 2004, he also took over as the Minister of State for Fisheries and Animal Resource Development. Draupadi Murmu was also awarded the Neelkanth Award in 2007 for being the best legislator of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. After this, Draupadi Murmu lost the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha constituency. Because the alliance of BJP and BJD ended in 2009 itself. After that Draupadi Murmu was elected to the National Executive of BJP (ST Morcha) in 2013. And till 2015 remained in the position of District President.
Governor of Jharkhand (2015–2021):
Draupadi Murmu was sworn in as the Governor of Jharkhand on 18 May 2015, becoming the first woman Governor to hold the post. During the tenure of Draupadi Murmu ji, BJP remained in power in Jharkhand for 6 years. Draupadi Murmu ji also administered the oath of office to Hemant Soren as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand in 2019.
After this, former BJP leader and activist Ratan Tirkey said that Draupadi Murmu had not made any effort to ensure that the rights of self-governance given to tribal communities were properly implemented. These rights were given to tribal communities under the Fifth Schedule and the Panchayat Act 1996. Tirkey further said that despite several requests, the then Governor never exercised his powers to implement the provisions of the Fifth Schedule in letter and spirit.Draupadi Murmu's 6-year term as governor began in 2015 and ended in July 2021.
presidential campaign:
In June 2022, the BJP nominated Draupadi Murmu as the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) candidate for the office of President of India for the 2022 election the following month. At the same time Yashwant Sinha was nominated as the candidate for the post of President by the opposition parties. During his election campaign, Draupadi Murmu toured various states to drum up support for his candidature.Several opposition parties like BJD, YSRCP, JMM, BSP, SS, JD(S), had announced their support for his candidature before the polls. On 21 July 2022, Draupadi Murmu won the 2022 presidential election with a clear majority of 676803 electoral votes (64.% of the total) in 21 out of 8 states (including the union territory of Puducherry) by defeating general opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha . And became the President of India.

Draupadi Murmu was sworn in as the 15th President of India on 26 July 2022. Whose oath was administered by the 48th Chief Justice of India, N. V. Raman in the presence of former Presidents, Vice Presidents, Prime Ministers, and other representatives. Draupadi Murmu ji is the first person from the specified tribal communities of India to be elected as the President.She is the first woman to be elected as the President of India after India's independence in 1947 and the youngest. Draupadi Murmu is only the second woman after Pratibha Patil to serve as the President of India.
