Shubman Gill is an Indian cricket player. Who plays for Punjab in cricket. Shubman is a right-handed batsman. Shubman Gill has also been the vice-captain of the Indian team for the under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2018. He was also awarded the Player of the Tournament for the same Cricket World Cup. Also, Shubman is the youngest player to score a double century in ODIs.

  He made his List-A debut in 2017 playing cricket against Vidarbha. In the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, he was selected in the first class against Bengal. He scored 129 runs with a half-century in the game when he was in his last match in service.

Personel Life:          

Shubman Gill's father's name was Lakhwinder Singh Gill. And he was a farmer by profession. His grandfather's name was Didar Singh Gill. He was born in Chak Khere Wala village. This village was located near Jalalabad tehsil of Fazilka district of Punjab state. Shubman Gill's sister's name is Shaheen Gill.

      Shubman's father used to help Shubman a lot. He had prepared a cricket ground in the farm itself for his son to play. And he called the boys of the village and asked them to play with his son and told everyone that whoever takes my son's wicket, I will give him 100 rupees.

Shabnam's father Lakhwinder Singh ji left his village home and went to Mohali to improve his son's cricket. In Mohali, Shubman trained for some time in his school, then his father got him admitted to the academy of the Punjab Cricket Association. So that the quality of his cricket improves.

Shabnam spent few years of her life in her village but her father wanted to see her as a good cricketer. Shabnam was interested in farming since childhood. And according to his father, he still wants to do farming. Shubman Gill is still emotionally attached to his village, farming.

Early Life:

Shubman was born in Fazilka in Punjab. His family had a lot of land for farming. Which was very fertile. His father Lakhwinder Singh ji was a farmer. And he wanted to become a good cricketer himself. But policy did not accept this.

His dream of becoming a cricketer could not be fulfilled, so he started trying to live his dream through his son. And decided to make Shubman a good cricketer. For this, he started giving information to Shubman about what is cricket, how to play it since childhood.

At the same time, he also tried to increase Shubman's interest in cricket. He even called hired bowlers to improve Shubman's batting. Gill's father Lakhwinder was convinced of Shubman's talent. So he moved to Mohali to make his son's cricket even better. And took a house on rent near Mohali PCA Stadium.

Shubman's father tells that Gill was crazy about cricket from the third year of his age. And he started playing cricket from the age of three. The age at which children play with toys. He never asked for any such thing. There was only his bat and ball for him. Which he used to take with him while sleeping.On his Punjab state debut for the under-16s, he scored an unbeaten double century in the Vijay Merchant Trophy. In 2014, he scored 351 runs in Punjab's Inter-District Under-16 competition and shared a record opening partnership of 587 runs with Nirmal Singh.

Domestic Career:   

   Shubman Gill made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy against Vidharbha on 25 February 2017. He made his first-class debut for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy on 17 November. Later in the same month, in his second first-class match, he scored his first century with the bat for Punjab against Services. He scored 129 runs against the Bengal team.

In January 2018, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL auction for Rs. Was bought for 8 crores. He made his 20–20 debut for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League on 14 April 2018. He was named in India C's squad for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy. In the last round robin match against India, he scored an unbeaten century to help India C reach the final.

The following month he was included as one of eight players to play in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy.
